WHAT IS MUAY THAI
Thai boxing is the ancient art of Muay Thai developed in Thailand to keep soldiers fit with a competitive edge for battle, dating back over 2000 years. It has now evolved into a sport where there is the use of 8 weapons, hands, feet, knees and elbows.

This class, having done some kickboxing, will teach you the finer points of how to punch kick, elbow and then how to put together the destructive combinations that Thai boxing is known for. This class has some contact enabling the defensive and offensive to be practiced but in a safe environment where the potential for injury is at a minimum.

Now, we keep an ancient art but teach it with modern coaching methods. Unlike the soldiers that used this to prepare for war, it is now one of the best cardio work outs in the world, great way to defend yourself and an even better way to increase flexibility and confidence.
