Congratulations to our MMA Fighters:
The recent Shooto Novice MMA series was held on Sunday, June 17th. TEAM AMMA nominated 5 fighters to compete and unfortunately only 4 were matched up on the day.
Tyrone Kingii has been training for the event like a Warrior and unfortunately was the only person not to be matched up on the day. We were all wanting to see BIG T compete, he will be on the next event for sure — keep training and get better and better my friend.

Gavatron was the first fighter of the day and did an amazing job landing some great punches and kicks, the fight went the distance and the decision went to the other corner. Great job for his first outing and even better considering that he had an ankle injury weeks before the event.
Jed was fight number 4 and didn't hesitate. Landed some great punches, took his opponent to the ground, gained mount, rolled to a triangle (opponent stood up), went back to the floor and Jed tagged a super sweet armbar to finish the fight at the end of the round. First MMA fight, couldn't ask for a better result.
The Black Panther RAOUL was the next fighter for AMMA. Total domination and controlled the fight for the bell. Raoul secured a submission from mount early in the second round but was in control the entire fight. Second MMA fight for Raoul and a great result.
Shane was our next fighter and last one for the day. After spending a few weeks on the mines and doing a couple of quick PT sessions with Nathan Frost before competing, he was ready to go. The first round was even until Shane was taken down and caught in an ankle lock. He persisted and ended up giving his back, then escaped a head arm choke at the closure of round 1.
The game plan was simple for round 2, knock him out! Shane came out swinging and landed several great punches staggering his opponent and threw an uppercut (that missed) that would ended the fight. His opponent had enough and took him down with a great slam to end the round. The fight was called a draw!
Thank you to all that came and supported the event and our fighters. Special thanks to Brett for staying and supporting HIS team after some very sad news.
Well done to all our FAMILY, Fighters and friends.
